Sarah Sturino & Kylie Virtue
Panama Soul Revival New Year Retreat
The New Year is a sacred time of natural reflection.
A time to leave things behind and make plans for going forward. Escape the chaos of the holiday season and join Kylie and Sarah on a journey of release and manifestation in the beautiful surroundings of Istmo Retreat Centre.
Kylie and Sarah believe the perfect retreat is a unique blend of movement and stillness. They will take your soul on a journey through Yoga, Pilates, Pound Fit, Reiki and meditation practices.
Daily movement practices will include Hatha & Vinyasa style yoga; Pilates classes taught in the contemporary style; and Pound Fit. Pound Fit is an energizing, rhythmic workout with drumsticks that originated in LA; often described as the ultimate release as you unleash your inner rockstar.
Movement practices are accessible to all – no prior Pilates or yoga experience required.
Daily stillness practices will include Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Sound Healing & Reiki.
Reiki is universal, healing energy that we all have the internal ability to call forth. This retreat will include a Reiki Restorative session as well as the opportunity to learn more about this healing modality.
In addition to the unique offerings above, your week also includes: 3 daily vegetarian meals prepared by the owner and Chef Sean; an SUP lesson and access to boards throughout your stay; daily beach time; and El Valle day trip (a town that developed in the crater of an extinct volcano surrounded by mountains and cloud forest).
This all culminates in a beautiful New Years Eve celebration incorporating aspects of Panamanian culture, honing in on planetary energy, and manifesting abundance (along with a little champagne) as we enter a new decade.
Sarah is on a lifelong journey to strengthen and elevate her physical and emotional well-being. Struggling with anxiety since she was a young child, she has worked diligently to achieve a state of physical and emotional wellness. Engaging in travel; nature immersion; connection with like-minded people; learning to channel my own intuition and energy; and regular movement practices such as Pilates have all assisted her on my path to wellness.
Her journey as a Pilates professional began in my mid 30’s. She had long been an advocate & client of Pilates due to her scoliosis. Her decision to pursue an instructor certification was life changing. She chose to be certified in Stott Pilates because she believes in the contemporary approach to the traditional Pilates method based on modern principles of exercise science. She is currently certified in mat, reformer, barrel and chair apparatus, Zenga and Barre. She is passionate about teaching others to move their bodies in healthy, safe & functional ways. She is also a certified Pound Fit instructor and Reiki practitioner.
Sarah, is able to offer you components of her own wellness journey through her retreats; a unique combination of adventure, movement, connection and energy work.
Her journey to becoming a Yoga Instructor and and self help expert began at Sheridan College in the Social Service Worker Program; She delved in deep to the psyche of people and how she could help, counsel and heal them. Through much thought she realized that her kind of healing was better from the holistic approach. After several losses and hitting a wall- she realized she needed to connect to something bigger and begin to develop her connection to mind, body and spirit.
Her approach is that everyone and everyBODY should be able to practice yoga, meditation and self care. Her goal is to help people on their spiritual journey or path to healing while using different holistic modalities.
She is a certified Yoga Instructor, Restorative Yoga Instructor, Energy worker and Meditation Specialist. She also has training in Ayurvedic Touch Therapy, Astrology Soul Work, Prenatal Yoga, Yoga Nidra and as a forever student she will continue her training to better care for each individuals needs.
As someone who has “been there” she hopes to create an environment where clients feel comfortable enough to be open, to explore and eventually heal. She also likes to keep things light as sometimes we must laugh at ourselves and life- combining both the serious side and light side to all healing situations.
Given her extensive training Kyle hopes to provide an overall holistic approach to healing through movement, stillness and laughter.
